How Bank Lending Can Help You Create a Healthy Home
Are you a homeowner with a home loan? If you’re looking to upgrade your home with heat pump, ventilation, or ducted systems to ensure a warmer and healthier living environment, there’s good news. Several banks offer special lending options with minimum interest rates to help you make these energy-efficient improvements. Here’s a rundown of what ANZ, ASB, Kiwibank, and Westpac have to offer:
ANZ
ANZ offers a Good Energy Home Loan at a fixed interest rate of 1.00% p.a. for three years for up to $80,000. This loan can be used for:

- Insulation (ceiling, underfloor, wall)
- Double or secondary glazing
- Ventilation systems (positive or balanced pressure, heat recovery options)
Additionally, if you’re buying or building a new home with a 6 Homestar rating or higher, you can get up to 1% off your home loan interest rate (Green Homes New Zealand).
