Heat Pump Maintenance
At Superheat Electrical, we know that regular maintenance is key to keeping your heat pump running efficiently, and extending its lifespan.
Our heat pump maintenance packages include thorough inspections, cleanings, and tune-ups, ensuring your heat pump system performs when you need it to.
We service various heat pump systems from ducted, high wall and cassette units; and various brands from Hitachi, Daikin, Samsung, Panasonic, and Mitsubishi Heat pumps.
Heat Pump Standard Service
HVAC standard service is a routine maintenance to ensure the optimal functioning of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This includes inspecting and cleaning components such as filters, coils, and ducts, as well as checking for any potential issues.
Our standard service includes:
- Inspect and clean both the indoor and outdoor unit components, such as filters, coils, ducts and drain pipes.
- Verifying refrigerant levels to ensure optimal operation.
- Ensuring all electrical connections are secure and functioning properly.
- Running tests to confirm the heat pump is heating and cooling efficiently.
We recommend your heat pump to be serviced every year for residential properties and every six months for commercial buildings.
Heat Pump Deep Clean Service
HVAC deep cleaning is a maintenance process that involves thorough cleaning of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. We use Simple Green Air-Con Cleaner and Anti-Bacterial Concentrate when cleaning ductwork, coils, filters, and other components to remove accumulated dirt, dust, mold, and bacterial contaminants.
Our cleaning process ensures optimal performance, energy efficiency, and a healthier indoor environment by reducing the risk of airborne pollutants and enhancing overall system functionality.
What does a heat pump / air-conditioning deep clean involve?
Test and Record Temperatures: We will test both the heating and cooling functions of your heat pump / air-conditioning, recording the on and off temperatures to ensure it’s running efficiently.
Remote Controller Check: We’ll check the remote controller of your heat pump to make sure it’s functioning properly.
Clean and Disinfect Indoor Unit: Thoroughly clean the indoor unit by removing and washing the filters, disinfecting the coil, and inspecting the fan wheel and motor for any dirt build-up, noise, or imbalance. This process helps maintain optimal indoor air quality and ensures the heat pump system runs smoothly.
Condensate Drain and Filter Maintenance: We’ll make sure the condensate drain is clear and check that the air filters of the heat pump / aircon doesn’t have damage.
Outdoor Unit Care: The outdoor unit of the heat pump will be treated and washed, with all debris cleared from underneath. We’ll also inspect the outdoor unit for pests or insect nests and listen for any unusual noise or vibration that might indicate a problem.
Electrical and Mechanical Inspection: All electrical connections will be tightened, the isolation switch condition checked, and the service valves and flare connections inspected for leaks. We’ll ensure the service caps are secure, check the compressor compartment for refrigerant leaks, test suction and discharge pressures, and verify the correct operation of all electrical components, including de-frost control and safety controls.
Refrigeration and Airflow Checks: We’ll inspect the refrigeration piping for signs of wear, such as chafing and vibration, check for any insulation or duct damage, and remove accumulated lint and dust from the outdoor coil fins. We also ensure that the air supply at all diffusers is adequate, maintaining consistent airflow throughout your home.
